The Devil’s Lake COA (5 mi2) extends from Lincoln City north to the end of Devil’s Lake. It consists primarily of Devil’s Lake and the input from Rock Creek. This COA is adjacent to the Salmon River Estuary-Cascade Head COA.

Special Features

General

  • There are bald eagle nesting sites around Devil’s Lake.
  • Devil’s Lake provides coastal lake habitat and important habitat for many fish and wildlife species, including rearing and spawning habitat for coastal Coho.
  • Rock Creek, which flows into Devil’s Lake, is very important for the genetically unique Coho population that lives in Devil’s Lake.
  • The mouth of Rock Creek is a peat marsh several acres in size.
